Comments	I would like to thank Able Auto Transport for doing a wonderful job transferring my car from TX to FL.I would especially thank the driver Jorge C. for doing a great job! I was little upset with the company when the first driver had my sister wait three hours for him and claimed everytime she called that he was thirty minutes away! I called the company and let them know that were going to cancel the driver and get us another one! Surely the next morning we had a new driver, he was on time and very polite! He contacted me to let me know that he had picked up the car and would be heading out! After he had picked up the car the company also informed me of the process! Due to Ike the driver was trapped in Texas, but he always kept me informed of where he was at! The day before the delivery he called to let me know that he was running behind schedule but will be there the next day! When I told its best he came in the early morning he agreed. Bright and early the next day he called and said he would be at my location at a certain time and sure enough as he said, he was right on time. Comments	I was given the time frame for 1-5 days for my pickup. Eight days later the car is still in New Jersey. My problem is more that no one from the company has EVER contacted me to let me know the status of my order. Everytime I call I'm told that I'm being put on the "priority list" becuase my car was requested to be shipped asap. Then I was told the only way to really be put on priority was to pay an additional $300. Finally I decided to cancel and I was told I would just need to send an email and I would get an email confirming. Email was sent over 24 hours ago and I still have not received a response. I guess this company isn't really into customer service.....you know, small things like returning phone calls, responding to emails and actually shipping the customers cars out.

Comments	I contracted with Able Auto Transport (AAT) to ship my minivan from Hawaii to Minnesota. My vehicle was shipped from Hawaii to California via a ocean shipping company as scheduled. Per our contract, the vehicle was picked up by AAT from the Port of Oakland. The estimate I was given was 1-6 days after it was picked up at the port it would be on a transport truck. It has remained in Calif. ever since (28 days and counting). AAT stated they are "doing everything possible to locate a transporter" to move the vehicle, but they can't give me an estimate of when it will arrive. Multiple phone calls to AAT dispatch have been fruitless. I explained to them that I needed my vehicle so I could drive it across country to my new home on the East Coast. Due to their lateness, I have had to change my delivery location (which I was told by AAT would have been easier for them to arrange). They have not been able to make that location either, and now I will have to change it a third time. Since they haven't made delivery, I have had to rent a vehicle to travel cross-country. Based on their original estimates, I did not expect to have to rent a vehicle, but now it is costing me $100/day in rental charges (for a like minivan). Our contract stated AAT would not guarantee a delivery date, and I understand that, but they are now 22 days past their estimate with no end in sight. The dispatch personnel I've spoken with have been very professional, but the company has still not performed their end of the contract. I'm still awaiting delivery. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

The rate was reasonable (not the cheapest but still competitive - I tried going with the cheapest quote initially but that Auto Transport did not move my car for 10 days!! and called me a week later to let me know that the car can be moved if I can pay them more!!!). Able Auto transport picked up my car in 3 days and the carrier they chose to deliver my car from San Francisco to Spokane was extremely reliable and awesome!!

Comments	Reps were polite, and readily available at all hours. However, exactly one month to get my car is inexcusable! How I figure it is that Able will give you the lowest quote, but no carrier is willing to pick up the vehicle, due to the low balance owed after the deposit! I had to add a "bonus" (I call it extortion $) in order to entice a carrier! Able apparently will accept ANY carrier to sub-contract to pick up your vehicle! The cheapest is not the best; in the long run you get what you pay for! I will not use them again ever!

From the 1st call and while speaking with Amanda Greer, we were advised on Friday evening 10-26th we should be hearing from the auto carrier within 1-3 days for pick up arrangements. Your company contacted us the next day asking if we would be ready to have the vehicle picked up on Sunday 10-28? We were thrilled the process was quickly moving along as we had hoped for! We received a call from Roberto of National Auto Carriers advising us he could pick up our Daughter's car within a few hours the morning on Sunday 10-28. We met Roberto at my place of work, and as he advised of estimated time of meeting, he was right on time and very courteous and informative! He made my Wife and I both comfortable during the process while loading the vehicle, and we both agreed that his work ethic and professionalism was very impressive to say the least, you could his sense of pride during the placement process on the carrier and throughout! Roberto advised our Daughter's vehicle should arrive no later than Wednesday 10-31, so we were extremely happy to have received a call from our Daughter that she had received her vehicle on Monday evening 10-29 around 6 pm, Wow! Comments	I chose Able Auto based on their website and my initial phone call to their company. My questions were always answered honestly and efficiently. Although they advertise will meet or beat your lowest quote I was really surprised when they actually met my lowest price quote! The car was picked up and delivered within the time frame they gave me. The only negative comment is they were unable to track where the transporter was while enroute so they were unable to give me an exact day as to when to expect delivery...which makes it difficult to make plans to be at location of delivery when the car arrives. Other than that, the overall experience with Able Auto was excellent. I would recommend them highly! P.S. I did alot of research before deciding on Able Auto.

I had no idea how to even go about shipping a car from Colorado to Florida and found you on Google - compared a number of transport companies and liked the professionalism of your website and the initial phone call. the deposit was handled promptly and within 24 hours I received a call with the transporter's number - as it turned out they weren't able to reach the mountain town but within a day another company was contracted and the car was picked up 2 days later. the driver called and was delightful, letting me know ETA and calling me every few days. He arrived on time, earlier than I had expected with the car off the rig, running and ready to roll. I couldn't be happier - don't know if I'll ever have to move a car again on a transport but if I do, I'll surely us Able Auto again. A pleasure!!!

Comments	My point of origin was off the beaten path, so it took a bit of time for Able Auto Transport to find a space to bring my car cross country. However, we were very lucky that MF Diaz was the subcontractor -- and their driver, Bob, was awesome. Our car made it through the "blizzard of '06" intact and perfect. After 2 weeks of driving, Bob, who must have been pretty tired, accommodated us and delivered the car at 11 pm! Watching the procedure was horrifying and amazing, moving a huge van from the front upper level down to the ground. Bob handled it carefully and flawlessly. My family was awed. Comments	Able Auto has to be the worst company to deal with in the industry. I would recommend anyone using anybody but able auto. The first mistake they made was the pick up date. I requested ASAP, and was promised a 2-3 day pickup window. I finnally had Carmen "some sort of manager" take accountability for this mistake and offer nothing more than a sarry and we are working hard to have your truck picked up. Continued promisses of give us two more days has now turned into 2 weeks. I was told my order was on the priority list and found through questioning that the priority list is nothing more than a list that they turn to when they have "extra time". I was instructed that my order was a priority and they had multiple people working "very hard" to get my order picked up. I was instructed that the manager had worked all day calling to get a driver. When I asked how many calls she had made, she told me 15. In a 8 hour day, I think 15 phone calls might take up an hour of my work at most. I have learned the hard way that paying a higher price to ship a auto is worth it. Funny how a company is no longer registered with the Better Business Bureau, why could that be? If you asked me, a commen crook has discovered a new business idea and has named it Able Auto Transport.

Providers Response	Able Auto Transport has never promised a 2-3 day pickup window. The customer was told that the pickup window is an AVERAGE of 2-5 days for this particular move. Unfortunately, this move did not go as fast as we hoped. We did find a transporter for this order and sent it to the customers pick up location, but it was gone by the time our driver got there. Able Auto Transport did everything they could to move this as fast as possible. Mr. Price did recieve a full refund.

I HAD TO DO ALL OF THE CALLING ON MY OWN AND EACH TIME I TALKED TO SOMEONE I GOT A DIFFERENT RESPONSE. MY CAR WAS SUPPOSED TO BE HERE ON FRIDAY. THE CAR WAS NOT HERE ON FRIDAY NOR SATURDAY NOR SUNDAY. I CALL ABLE AUTO AND THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO FOR ME. I AM SO FRUSTRATED WITH THIS COMPANY AND HOW THINGS ARE RAN THAT I WOULD NEVER REFER THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE ELSE. NO COMMUNICATION, NO FOLLOW UP, AND NO RESOLUTION TO ANY OF MY PROBLEMS OR CONCERNS. Comments	Last week I had my mothers Mercedes moved from Texas to California, because she would be here for quite sometime. I had used Able two other time and they were great. WELL NOT THIS TIME!!!! They used a auto transporter by the name of Themico out of Texas...They were very nice when they picked up the car...but then the nightmare begin. First, the transporter picked up the car, and drove it around town for over 100 miles and burned a quarter tank of gas. Then my car arrived three days after they promised. And to make matters worse, the suitcases that were in my mothers car...that the transporter knew about were stolen out of the car. In all 10,000.00 worth of clothes. Then to make matters worse, the transporter, accepts the fact that he left the car unlocked (or maybe he took them???) overnight before the car was put on the truck. The transporter Themico, nor Able want to do anything about this and neither Mike (from the transporter/Themico) nor Carmen (from Able) have returned my calls or my mothers call. Had I known, that they would have passed the buck if a problem arose...I would have never used them and driven the car to Ca myself.

Comments	I had booked this shipping with Amy in the middle of July. They gave me a price quote that was a bit high but was told it should be picked up with 10 days. After 10 days, the car was never picked up. Each time I would call they were pleasant with me but said they couldn't find a driver to pick up the vehicle. After about 60 days without the car being picked up. I decided to look for another trucking company. My biggest issue with this company was they had never called me to update me on the status. Each time I would have to call them. I would probably not used this company again due to it being a Broker that can't do what they promise.

Comments	This is the first time I have had a car shipped, and Able made a *very* favorable impression on me. I had heard good things locally about another dependable shipper, but after they had sent me a quote that was supposedly good for a certain amount of time,when I went to set it up, they had increasd it by $150. I then went with Able, although I was a bit leary of anyone, after reading some of the horror stories. I placed my deposit with Able on Monday, 8-29, and the car was picked up by them promptly on 8-31,which seemed very quick to me! I was provided with the name and phone # of the driver as well, and called him to see what I should do, this being my first time. His name was Sam Digby, and I think he worked for B-C Transport (I don't have the card here with me). They were contracted by Able for the move. Sam lives in the Atlanta area, like me, and the car was coming from San Diego to Atlanta. He was very patient with all of my 'Newbie' questions, and very easy to deal with. He and the previous owner even removed the luggage rack and stored it on the back of the truck as it made the car a bit too tall. Even better, I expected it to take a couple of weeks to get the car, so I wasn't in any hurry, but Sam called and then delivered the car on 9-5, just 5 days after he picked it up!!! Comments	I made the order on June 15th and sent my car to the terminal on 18th. The reason I chose Able was the cheap price, which is 100 dollars less than other companies' quotes. However, till today(July 3rd), Able hasn't found the carrier yet(the destination city is a large city in which Able has terminals too). We have to wait, wait, and pay the endless storage fee(car in terminal) every day for 15 dollars. Till today, the amount of storage fee and the carrier's fee is higher than other companies' quotes. I believe, that's a clever way to do business like Able. They use cheap quote to attract customers and use the storage fee to make profit. Although my car is still in their hand, I decide to complain it in public, as well as calling them everyday. Choosing Able is my last thing to do in the world.

Comments	Like many people I did a lots of research and ABLE kept coming up positive. I was concerned about my transport situation because my destination was the panhandle area of Idaho, near the Canadian border, an area not likely frequented by lots of truckers. Able found me a trucker within four days of signing up. Walt Keith Auto Transport of Roswell, GA, picked the car up and got it to me in ten days--2800 miles--and would have gotten it to me sooner had he not lost two days, one day to a small mechanical failure on his truck and a blown tire. Mr. Keith and his partner Philip are great guys who care about the cars they transports. He told me that ABLE was, unlike other broker companies, kind and honest to the truckers and that truckers liked collaborating with ABLE. I mentioned a couple of other broker names and he winced at one of them [they don't work timely or honestly with the truckers.] The key to this whole transport business: Does the transport broker get good truckers? ABLE appears to do so because they are good to the truckers. ABLE personnel were always courteous and helpful, day or night. Their broker fee of $125 is lower than others and seems fair. The price they charged to me for the trucker, $950, again was not the lowest, but was certainly lower than others. Mr. Keith agreed that too low of a price for the trucker will make it difficult to find a trucker for an out of the main stream trip. The car arrived covered with road dirt--they went through snow storms in CO.--but once washed was just fine. I did find a rock near the wipers and there was a nick in the windshield, but I don't know that the nick wasn't already there. Besides, whether you drive your car 2800 miles or have it trucked, you can expect and have to accept some weather/ road related damage. Go with ABLE. Support honesty and kindness. You'll be fine.

I sent in a Free quote one time and never heard from them. I even filled out the Live Person link on their website and no one wrote me back. I finally called and got someone at 5:00 pm. They told me yes they do ship to where I want my car to go but none of their quoters were at work at this time but they would be back later in the evening and they would email me back or call me. It's been more than 24 hours and I've not heard back from them. WHY WOULD ANYONE WANT TO USE THESE PEOPLE IS BEYOND ME!!!! The carrier arranged with my originator to pickup late Friday, as they would be out of town over the weekend. From order to pickup was less than 12 hours! Transport took eight days, and the vehicle was delivered in excellent condition, if a bit wet (convertible that obviously went through some weather on the trip). Comments	I contacted able for a quote and quickly received response by e-mail. The reply quote included the contract within the body of the e-mail which also included only 'part' of the Terms And Conditions. Item '18.' of what was sent in the e-mail states: "18. By either submitting your order online, sending us your order by fax or by email, AAT understands you are placing your order and accept the terms and conditions (in lieu of your signature) found here AND ON AAT'S WEBSITE."(All caps added by me for emphasis). I thought that just meant that the Terms included in the e-mail are also posted at their site. There was no mention about the Liability Disclaimer in the e-mail that also extends to their agent. I assume this means the shipper?. See here: http://www.ableautotransport.com/terms.htm I was very concerned about possible damage during transport, and it appears from the disclaimer language, that the types of damages that I could envision happening, are excluded from liability claim. Previous to my reading the disclaimer (and immediately cancelling my order late Friday night), I had sent an email requesting a "Meet or Beat" price match as provided for in the e-mail. They soon replied and declined to either meet or beat the quote. On Tuesday evening I decided to go ahead and contract with them anyway, because of the positive comments posted in this website, and made immediate deposit by debit card.(Again, this was before seeing the disclaimer). I subsequently sent two other emails the next day or so that I have yet to receive a reply to-unlike the pre-contract prompt replies. Friday night I was looking over the contract and decided to check the website Terms, and was very surprised to see the disclaimer. Also I had requested their free ASAP service, but the car had not been booked by late Friday / early Saturday so I just cancelled the order by e-mail and telephone call. I also requested an immediate e-mail acknowledgement of the cancellation (in the e-mailed cancellation request) and also by telephone, and have not yet received it as of this post. They did confirm receipt by telephone, but I wanted documentaion. I can't comment on an actual shipping experience of course, and if the move had been booked and shipped it may have gone through without a hitch. On a positive note, the telephone personnel are very friendly and are there 24 hours as they state, however they were unable to clarify whether the disclaimer applied to the shipper as I would assume, and whether this would relieve him of liability even though he carries his own insurance coverage so I decided just to cancel. If I have made any incorrect assumptions it is due in part to the reps not being able to clarify these issues for me. Maybe the clarification sought could be posted here in response?

Comments	Hello All... I had been searching for a car transporter for a week. I was shipping my '96 Windstar from Iowa to Phoenix. And I had received 10 different quotes from various companies - All ranging from $675 to $1100. Why did I go with Able Auto? I check the BBB on their rating. I also checked this site on the comments placed with them. They had some negatives -- but they did respond to the negatives and their explanations seemed reasonable. So, I aksed for a quote on monday. Accepted it on Tuesday. On Weds they told me it would take about 5 days to pick up the Van. On Thursday (2/12/04), they told me the carrier was already in town and they could pick it up that day. Since this car was a gift for my mom, I was happy to have it picked up as soon as possible. The pickup person was very courteous. My only complaint was the tracking. The people at Able were very helpful, but the shipper (Dealers Choice Auto Inc) was a bit more difficult to reach. Nevertheless, the car was promised to be in AZ the following Friday(2/19/04). It was delivered the following Thursday in good shape! I am very happy with the service of both Able Auto and Dealers Choice and would use them again in the future. Final Price - $700.00 Rich

The carrier driver, Rich, picked up the vehicle in Marlton, N.J. on Firday 01/16/04. Rich has dealt with us in a very professional manner during every aspect of transporting the Miata from N.J. to Co. He called us as soon as he loaded the vheicle on Friday and kept in contact with us until it was deliverd to me the other day. He gave us his cell phone number and suggested that we call him at anytime until he arrived here. He was also right on time. This is my first and only experience in dealing with e-bay and also dealing with trucking company brokers and actual carriers. I bought this vehicle as a toy and had no idea what to expect although I had heard some pretty bad horror stories. I have had absolutely no problems with Able or DeMoise and they have made this experience for me very pleasant and enjoyable one. Everything has come off without a hitch. Rich, the driver, was extremely personable, very courteous and very sociable. He never came across as being in a hurry and was more than happy to answer any questions I might have had. For someone who's on the road so long he has excellent, extraordinary people skills. I was a little worried I would "get what I paid for" and that by going with the lowest price out of 17 other competitors I would get burned. But that was the OPPOSITE! I had my jeep picked up on a Sunday, and delivered it to me a week later, on a Sunday. The drive was super nice, from Silverado Transport, and was so helpful and reassuring. Comments	I just wanted to write this in thanks for the assistance that Able Transport gave me with reference to a shipment of our ML500 to California. The driver, Patrick, was a real pleasure to deal with. He gave me plenty of time to prepare and did his best to work around my schedule - which was TRULEY crazy. I got to ride with him to our pick-up location and was thoroughly impressed with his knowledge of the business as well as his great personality. As you can probably guess from this submission, most of our shipppers are not as prompt or polite and most of our interactions with shippers are rushed and all too often, rather unpleasant. Dealing with Able Transport was great - from start to finish and Able Transport can be sure I will use them for all of my applicable shipments in the future.

To say I was floored at Able's speed would be an understatement. the van was picked up within 5 days of my initial order (that would have been sooner had the driver not been detained by another customer!) and dropped off in 1 day! I'll say it again... 1 DAY!! I was in shock when the driver called and told me he was just outside the Chicago city Limits. Able's service is outstanding, their pricing is incredible, the staff is completely professional and the follow up is second to none. I was so impressed, I referred a new customer to them the next day!

Comments	I have to say that Able Transport was willing to help get my car to me. However, they're a broker. I have since learned that brokers don't control moving trucks, moving companies control the trucks. It took me 37 days for Able to get my car to me because they couldn't get a truck to pick up my car. Finally, the owner's husband, who is a truck driver for another company, said he would do it. But by then I had waited for 4 weeks, and he was still 10 days away. The moral of this story is; don't call a broker if you're in a hurry. Find a carrier that owns and schedules their own trucks. This might mean that your car gets shipped between terminals, but that's alot better than waiting an extra 4 weeks.

But it did take longer to book me than I expected them to (came to pick up 1 week after I asked to come) However, they answer phone 24/7, which was a nice feature. Experience with Dawn (the transporter) was so-so. They only gave me a few hrs notices at most in both case to pick up and drop off, but I did ask them to come back in the morning so I can see the car get dropped off. Car came in one piece w/o any incident so overall experience is positive. I would use Able Auto again and would recommend them. You can't choose transporter so that's the only unpredictable condition.

Comments	Awesome experience. I purchased a Toyota Landcruiser on EBay 10 days ago. I contacted Able Auto Transport 7 days ago. My vehicle was delivered today in perfect condition. Able assigned Premier Transportation - which did a great job. Everyone I dealt with was very pleasant, including the driver. I know this sounds a bit gooshy, but I am extremely pleased with this experience. Makes me think buying a car 550 miles away isn't such a big deal. The price wasn't the absolute loweest, but based on the ratings here I felt pretty good about the price. I wasn't disappointed. I would highly recommend Able Auto Transport and Premier Transportation.

Comments	We'd definitely use Able Auto again! They were thorough, easy to reach, responded to our questions, and fulfilled their commitment. PLUS -- their rates were very reasonable. The actual transporter they assigned us to was a bit too optismistic about his projected pick-up and drop-off dates. For example, he first said he'd come Sunday morning -- that got switched to 3 times later in the day -- until he finally agreed on Monday morning. He hoped to make it across the country in five days (which seemed unrealistic to us). In truth, he made it in 10 days. We felt fine about that timeline. We'd encourage anyone to use Able Auto.

Comments	This company gave me a quick and competitive quote. They answered all the questions I had, and the contract terms were clear. They contracted the transporter (Rebel Yell) the same day I made the deposit, and the transporter picked up the car within 24 hours. Driver did an good job on the pre-inspection. Transporter was responsive on the phone, and even had the driver drop my car off a day early when I told them I had to be out of town on the weekend. Driver was very friendly and went over the car with a fine-tooth comb. I was very pleased overall after reading so many horror stories on this and other sites! Thank you!

Comments	I had made the reservations to have someone pick up our two cars four-five months in advance. I phoned and emailed several times to make sure all was well. I was told they could not assign a carrier until one week in advance so I had to call back then for a definet date. I was suppose to have my cars picked up this week as I get on a plane next Monday. I was told a week ago it would be anywhere from Wed-Fri of this week. I phoned this morning to find out what day and learned that they are in fact only a broker. They put our information on the internet for trucking companies to bid on. So there is no promise that someone will be there to pick up our cars. Now, I am stuck having to pay extra money (that we don't have)due to such short notice. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

The customer stated they were going to cancel. We were quite surprised since the customer stated they wanted the vehicle picked up as soon as possible to the 20th. We had a truck assigned to them that afternoon. They did not cancel with us, nor did they have to pay any extra money to our company. We are confused why the customer reported a negative experience. We will attempt to contact this customer for further explanation.

Able Auto Transport was one of two companies out of about 12 that I requested a quote from that called me after the quote was emailed to ask if I had any questions or concerns. I was able to get all my questions answered, which made my decision to go with your company easier. Still, the proof is in delivering the service. From the online placing the order on April 22, 2003, the pickup at my front door on April 23, 2003 through the actual arrival on May 7, 2003 everything went exceptionally well. My daughter picked up the car yesterday May 13, 2003 in perfect shape. I’m sure not all the deliveries 6000 miles go that quickly, but 14 days from New England to Hawaii is truly amazing. Comments	AAA Auto Transport picked up my car two weeks late. When my car broke down five minutes before finally getting it onto the truck, the driver demanded $200 cash to 'wench' the car onto the truck. Because the company was two weeks late picking up my car, I had to rent a car at my destination for another week until my car arrived. In all, a one-way auto transport cost me $975 for the shipping, $200 to wench the car onto the truck, and another $375 to rent a car. After spending this much money, I might as well have bought a new car!

Comments	The above broker had made arrangements with one company who did not pick up the car. There was a time frame that the car had to be in North Carolina. Able Auto Transport found someone else overnight to pick up the car and deliver on time all without an extra charge to me. Way to go!!!

Comments	Comments:I inquired into a great number of transportation companies and got alot of quotes. Able Auto was the cheapest. I received a quote from them that was good for 30 days. About two days after I received there quote, I found out that I would not be able to transport the vehicle for about 6 weeks. I then emailed Able Auto on numberous occasions to see if they would extend my quote. I never heard from them. It has been three weeks

Comments	Having never had a car moved before, we really had no idea of how to pick a transport company. Your site here helped us IMMENSELY!! Thank you! We finally settled on Able Auto Transport, and were extremely pleased! They were very helpful any time we had a question about anything! From the time our order was processed, it took 5 days to be booked with a carrier, and then just 3 days to arrive! We were very surprised! The carrier contracted to ship our car was CCT Auto-Trans Inc. They were wonderful! The driver, Bob Spear, was fantastic! He was extremely friendly, knowledgable and helpful, and took outstanding care of our car while in his possession! All in all, everyone helped to make the transport of our car relatively painless! :)

Comments	The experience with Able Auto was very good. My car was picked up on Monday, and was delivered the following Monday (7days). I was very pleased with the short delivery time and the service both at pick-up and delivery. However, the dispatcher at pick-up was rude, the driver who picked up my car was very curteous.

Comments	When I found Able, I was pleased with the prompt and professional initial service I received and the very low price they quoted me. I paid $1000 to have a truck shipped from Seattle, WA to Knoxville, TN. This was far more reasonable than any other company who contacted me. They replied quickly and everyone I spoke to was very friendly. Unfortunately, this has changed significantly since the truck was picked up. The fellow in Seattle from whom I bought the truck tried for 4 days to get in touch with the trucking company - Pruitt Trucking of Searcy, AR - to arrange a pickup time. All he could get was a busy signal or a fax tone. Finally, they called him and picked the truck up 4 days after they said they would. This was August 5th. They apologized for the delay - they had had some trouble contacting other people whose vehicles they were picking up - but not to worry, my truck would be in Knoxville on the 9th of August - in 4 days. He was a little skeptical at that estimate, as was I, but I arranged to have the day off of work so I could be home to receive the truck. I called on Wednesday the 8th to see what was up and was told that my truck was still on Pruitt's truck, which was still in California picking up other vehicles. Again it seemed they were having difficulty getting in touch with the people who had the vehicles they needed to pick up. This was an acceptable excuse once, but it was sort of hard to swallow a second time. Of course the truck didn't show up on the 9th. Per Pruitt's instructions, I tried to call them Friday the 10th for an update, but couldn't get through. So I called Able to see what they could do. They said they would fax Pruitt a request for information and instruct them to call me. Pruitt never called. Able tried this twice. I finally got through to Pruitt the following Monday (the 13th) and got an answer - the truck was on Pruitt's lot and had been there since the previous Thursday. (the 9th) All it needed was to be put on a flatbed and sent to me - a mere 8 hrs away. My hopes soared. But there was one small problem. They were having trouble finding a truck that could drive it to Knoxville. I was told to call back that afternoon and ask for my contact person who could tell me if it had been loaded on a flatbed or not, and give me an estimate of when I would see it. From that point on, I tried calling Pruitt no fewer than TWENTY times each day only to get one of the following responses: A: a busy signal B: a fax tone C: "I can't answer your question, but the man who can will be back later this afternoon. Call back then." By far, the most common response was a busy signal. I have only gotten through to Pruitt 4 times since the 5th, and every time have gotten no information other than that my truck is on their lot. Everyone is very friendly and says they will call me back later that day with a better answer, yet no one from Pruitt has EVER called me back. When I try to call them back I get a busy signal. When I do get to talk to them, they claim their phone system is messed up and they can't dial out (Then they ask me to call back later and they'll give me an answer, so I try, but get a busy signal... and so on...) Maybe their phone system is messed up. I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, but these facts remain: - I still don't know when my truck will get here. - I know more than I want to know about the driver's and coordinator's personal lives, their troubles with the phone system and where all of their drivers are, and everyone in their office's family troubles, but the only piece of information that I want, that being "when will my truck get here?" is still a mystery. - I have repeatedly been told I would receive a call back, but such is yet to happen. - My truck has been sitting on their lot since August 9th. Today is the 21st. I'm only 8 hrs away. Surely it can't be that difficult to get my truck here. I want to stress how friendly everyone at Able was, and how much lower their price was than anyone else's. Perhaps this is a lesson to be placed in the "You get what you pay for" file. The folks at Pruitt have also been very friendly, and I sympathize with them for having phone troubles and personal issues. But friendliness and personal issues do not make up for unreturned calls and what seems like a very lackadaisical method of getting my truck to me. I spoke with Pruitt again this morning. As I've come to expect, no one could tell me anything. The woman who answered said she'd look into it and get back to me this afternoon. It's almost 3 and I'm still waiting. For all I know, everyone else who has shipped vehicles through Able has had good luck. Unfortunately, they contracted Pruitt to deliver my truck, and I'm terribly disappointed with their service. The only thing that could turn this shipping experience into a "positive" one is this: Pruitt shows up with my truck tomorrow, apologizes for the hassle, and tells me I don't have to pay. Providers Response	Due to this customer’s experience, we not longer use Pruett Trucking Co. We have not used them since this incident, nor will we ever use them again. Our deepest apologies go out to this customer. We make every effort to choose the best and most qualified trucks in the industry. When something like this happens, we do not give them another car. If they want to haul cars like that, they can haul for another company... not for Able Auto Transport, Inc.

Comments	This company is a first class operation. From my initial contact with them, even before I officially hired Able Auto, they began locating a driver to transport my car, so that when I did confirm with them, they already had someone lined up. I was sent numerous emails regarding the order; the personnel were helpful, polite, and on top of the order, from giving me the driver's name and cell phone number, and telling me when would be contacting me. He was delayed, but called me to tell me. The driver was the best, delivering my car on the first day of the two-day window. In fact, the driver of the transport truck called me twenty minutes after he picked up my car to make sure Iwas ok, after he saw me watching my car leave on his truck. He made arrangements with the person here who picked up my car, and all around, I will surely recommend this company!
